Students of Post Graduate Department of Food Technology (Ms Shriya Gaunekar, Ms Anoushka De Souza, Ms Swizel Lucia Pereira and Ms Valanka D’souza) of Carmel College, Nuvem, Goa participated in State level ‘Cooking competition using millets’ organised by Goa Science Centre in collaboration with Department of Tourism, Government of Goa on 11th October 2023. Ms Shriya Gaunekar won the third prize for a novel millet based mayo and Ms Anoushka De Souza won the consolation prize for her vegan burger patties. The students were guided by the faculty Dr. Maria Carina Cordeiro and Ms. Nezlyn Cressida D’Souza. The products presented by the students were well appreciated by the judges, participants and other attendees of the event.
