The Department of Hindi was started in the year 1964, with the establishment of the college itself. Students are offered with a General and Honors degree in Hindi.The classroom is spacious and well-lit with comfortable furniture that can accommodate 20 students on an average. The classroom is also equipped with ICT facility and Wi-Fi facility. Classroom has a desktop and LCD projector. Every year the Department of Hindi celebrates Tulsidaas and Premchand Jayanti on 31 st of July. Department also organizes Essay Writing, Slogan Writing, Poetry Writing, Making of Advertisement Competitions on the occasion of Hindi Day (In the Month of September). Department of Hindi participates every year in an Intercollegiate competition “Srujanotsav” which is organised by Institute Menezes Braganza, Panaji – Goa to commemorate Hindi day. Apart from this Department also organises field trips, study tours, guest lectures, workshops, seminars and other activities.
