A motivational talk on pursuing Chartered Accountancy as a career was organized by the Department of Commerce on the 31st of July 2023 in UGCR 08, Theodosia A.C. Block. Our ex-student, Ms Apoorva Mandrekar (Class of 2022-23), who has passed the Intermediate Level of the Chartered Accountancy Course on her first attempt, was invited to address the students. Ms Apoorva is pursuing her articles at one of the top 10 accounting firms in the world, BDO.
Ms. Apoorva stated that hard work, consistency and passion were the keys to becoming a Chartered Accountant. She explained how to navigate the ICAI website and the steps for registration. Ms. Mandrekar also stressed on being focused and motivated during the process of studying and answering the CA exams. Taking up chartered accountancy as a career requires planning and prioritising one’s activities.
Ms. Apoorva advised the students to surround themselves with positivity to be successful in this profession.
