Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) was celebrated at Carmel College Nuvem, on 31st of October 2022 by taking the pledge and organizing the Unity Run at the Carmel College campus. The event on campus was organised in association with the officiating Principal Dr. Sr. Maria Lizanne, the Sports Department ,the Student Council and the NSS unit of the college. More than 40 students including NSS volunteers and non -NSS students participated in the event.
On the same day, 34 NSS volunteers, accomp
anied by Mr. Meetal Raiker, program officer from the NSS unit of Carmel College, Nuvem also participated in the Unity Run which began at Lohia Maidaan, Margao, and ended at the Office of the Collector and District magistrate, Mathany Saldhana administrative complex, Margao.
Totally, more than 80 people from Carmel College, Nuvem, participated in the celebrations of the Unity Day, including teaching and non- teaching staff.
