The Women’s Cell of Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce for Women, Nuvem, Goa organized “Market Day” on 21st September 2019 from 9:00 a.m. onward in the college premises. The objective was to provide a platform to young women entrepreneurs and students from the neighbouring villages.
This event saw active participation by villagers from Nuvem, Benaulim, Majorda and Betalbatim,
and students. Products on sale included locally-grown vegetables, rice, Goan sweets and other Goan delicacies. Soap flowers, handmade bags, jewellery, indoor and outdoor plants like orchids, aloe Vera, etc. were also on sale. Aromatic oils, chemical-free lipsticks, handmade soaps, etc. were also sold.
