ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Master of Commerce programme is designed in accordance with our motto and is affiliated to Goa University.

The Course Objectives:

• To make students aware of the recent trends in business.

• To make the learning process enjoyable and foster a spirit of self-study.

• To give students an experiential set up to gain a competitive edge in the business world.

The Post Graduate Department Commerce was started in 2007. It is one of the youngest departments of the college working for promotion of Commerce and Business education. It aims to nurture commerce professionals with knowledge and competence to contribute to society with integrity and commitment.

The programme offers specialized education through case studies, field visits, project work seminars and workshops. The programme includes summer training of 4 weeks which is mandatory for all students. The purpose of the training is to provide students with on job experience.

The library has a collection of valuable reference books students are permitted to sit in the library, work and refer during working hours. The department is well equipped with necessary educational aids.The computer laboratory has several latest PCs and printer with wi-fi facility for the use of faculty and students.

                                                                              Eligibility

All students seeking admission to Post Graduate Courses must mandatorily answer Entrance Exam as per the Goa University Admission Ranking Test (GU-ART)

For being eligible for admission to the programme leading to the degree of Master of Commerce (M.Com) a candidate must have passed the examination for a degree of Bachelor of Commerce ( three-year integrated course) of Goa University or an examination of any other recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in B.Com.

Students obtaining degree certificates from recognized universities other than Goa University will require to obtain a Provisional Eligibility Certificate from Goa University together with a no objection certificate and a character certificate from the last college attended by them.
