NCC

The main motto of NCC is “Unity in Discipline”.  The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces. Cadets answering B and C Certificates have an opportunity to join the armed forces and many state and union Government gives concessions and preferences to NCC cadets in government jobs across India.

Carmel College NCC unit is part Of 1 Goa Girls Battalion with a strength of 52 cadets. The cadets have made the college proud by participating in National camps like TSC, RDC, NIC, BLC and have also won laurels for the institution.  Cadets have also participated in social service activities like visiting old age homes and orphanages and conducting tree plantation drives.
