As part of the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan, 1Goa Girls Battalion NCC organised a beach cleaning cum sensitisation drive on the Betalbatim beach on 4th April 2022. Five institutions belonging to the 1 Goa Girls Battalion NCC unit participated in the event. The institutions were Carmel College for Women, Rosary College, Government College Quepem, Holy Rosary High School and NEI High School. 75 student cadets and 5 teachers participated in the event.
Maintaining a clean environment is an important civic duty. The cadets have displayed their leadership qualities by not only cleaning the beach but also sensitising the general public on the need to do their civic duty of keeping the beaches clean
