On the occasion of the National Science Day, the Department of Zoology organized an inter-class competition, ‘Doodle a Comic strip’ and Displays in the laboratory and Natural History museum.
Around 150 students from Loyola Higher Secondary, Carmel Higher Secondary and Fr. Agnel Multipurpose Higher Secondary School visited the Natural History museum. The students also observed the anatomical and Parasitic specimens, instruments, microscopic slides and posters displayed in the laboratory. Specimens and wildlife photographs were displayed in the Biodiversity Research Cell as well. The students were also acquainted with the courses and activities of the Department. Around 190 students from different streams and faculty of Carmel College also visited the museum and observed the Laboratory displays. 15 students participated the ‘Doodle a Comic strip competition’ on the theme Anatomy talks. Ms Elsa Mascarenhas of SYBA won the First place while Ms. Aquene Estibeiro of FYBSc won the second place for the competition.
