ACTIVITY OF IQAC HEALTH CELL AND YWCA
The Health cell of IQAC in collaboration with YWCA organised its first activity for the academic year with an interactive session on the topic “Blood Donation-Become a Donor “.
Dr. Deepa welcomed the students and briefed them on the activities that would be organized for them during the academic year 2019-20.
Dr. Ravin Rego, Blood Bank Officer from Hospicio Hospital spoke to the students about blood donation. The talk outlined the need for donation, necessary qualifications for being a donor and the different types of blood groups. He also dispelled the myths about donating blood. He concluded with a quiz on blood donation.
The talk was well received by the students, some of whom showed interest to become donors in the near future. Around 60 students benefitted from the talk.
