Earth is a home to a variety of living organisms and we all are dependent on the environment for our survival. Therefore, it is important for every individual to save and protect our environment. With this view in mind the Institution has constituted the Environment Protection Cell. The role of the cell is to spread awareness among students and the community about the importance of protecting the environment and the ecology of the college campus and beyond.
The cell comprises of student members headed by an elected student representative (EPC Secretary) and also includes faculty members. The cell annually celebrates the various Environment days such as World Mangrove Day, Renewable Energy Day, World Wetlands Day, by organizing talks, essay writing competitions, poster competitions, quiz, field trips, waste collection drives, plantation drives, etc. for the students of the college, students of neighboring institutions and local community.
