15 students from Carmel College for Women, Nuvem, Goa presented their papers online on a wide range of themes at the one day multi-disciplinary national level seminar on ‘Contemporary Anxieties and the Common Man: Life After (During) COVID-19’ organized by Government First Grade Women’s College, Shivamogga, Karnataka in association with IQAC on 26 August 2022. The students were mentored by Dr. Brian Mendonca, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Carmel College who travelled to Shivamogga to present the keynote address on the topic, ‘Processing the Pandemic: Loss, Legacy and the Creative Impulse.’ Dr. Glenis Mendonca, Associate Professor, and Ayeesha Antao, Assistant Professor, Department of English also presented papers online on viral verse and the necessity of pandemic literature respectively.
