The Department of Economics organised a career talk for the students of FY, SY and TY (Economics) on 20th February 2021. The guest speaker was Ms. Bhakti Anand, Trade Policy officer at the British High Commission, New Delhi.
Ms. Anand highlighted the significance of pursuing a career in economics, the various avenues available for students after graduation as well as post-graduation. She also gave an insight into the top most colleges in India that provide for higher studies in Economics. Besides, she also gave an overview of the various exams that a student needs to answer in order to pursue their higher studies in countries other than India. Ms. Bhakti also took us through her ambitious journey as an economist.
The talk was then followed by Q&A where the students put forward their queries and doubts. The session was well appreciated by the students and faculty. A total of 83 participants were present for this session that was held via google meet.
