Department of English organised an online Literary festival for students of Carmel College. Students had to send in their entries via email by the 31 st October 2020. The theme of the event was based on the pandemic-Covid19 and online teaching. To keep the enthusiasm going, week-long events were organised, starting with a curtain raiser- a guest lecture by Ms. Mariette Valsan on ‘The Colour of Advertising’ on 26 th October 2020. On the 29 th October we kicked off with the first online sub-event which was a Crossword on Popular Culture. Other sub-events organised were- Fancy Pants (Fancy dress competition), It’s My Take (Meme Making competition), Jokes on Us (Stand-up Comedy), Poetic Pande-monium (Poetry writing), Covid Capers (Story writing). The event was well-received with active participation from all students. The over-all winners who bagged the rolling trophy were SYBA- C.
