Tree planting and Awareness rally was organised by NSS Unit of Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce for Women at Nuvem Panchayat on 11th August 2023. The NSS unit collaborated with the Nuvem Panchayat and planted saplings in the Nuvem Panchayat area. The Sarpanch Ms Freeda D’Sa, Deputy Sarpanch Mr Conceicao Colaco Secretary Ms Sunita and other panch members were present along with NSS programme officers of Carmel unit and NSS volunteers. The tree planting programme was followed by an awareness rally in Nuvem highlighting the importance of the conservation of green cover and paying homage to the motherland.
