Report on Faculty visit to Fr. Agnel Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, Verna Goa
The Department of Commerce of Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce for Women Nuvem, Goa organised a faculty visit to Fr. Agnel Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, Verna Goa on 13th February 2023 from 10:30 a.m to 11:30 am. Two faculty members Asst. Prof. Manju T.K and Asst. Prof. Blanche V. Vaz conducted the orientation session for the 12 std commerce students of Fr. Agnel Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, Verna Goa. A total of 35 students attended the session. The faculty members were received by the principal and were given the opportunity to address the students. The session commenced with an introduction about Carmel College, followed by an overview of the Department of Commerce. During the session, the students were highlighted about the B.COM degree programme, various facilities provided by Carmel College, courses conducted, BCOM programme structure and career opportunities after BCOM.
The college faculty members also took questions from the students providing them with detailed answers about the admission requirements and campus life. The faculty members were able to provide valuable information about the college and its various programs, and the students were able to gain a better understanding of the benefits of pursuing higher education. It is hoped that this visit will inspire students to consider pursuing higher education and to apply to Carmel College in the future. The session ended at 11:30 a.m.
