Activity Overview
The Postgraduate Department of Food Technology, Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce, organised the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce and Envirocare Labs Pvt. Ltd. on 25th September 2025 in the auditorium, Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Nuvem, Goa. The event commenced with a warm welcome to the distinguished guests from Envirocare (Mr. Srikant Naik, General Manager, Ms. Ruperi Farjand, Quality Incharge, Ms. Jellency Fernandes, Food Section Incharge and Carmel College Alumni- Anoushka Mapari, Clayton Lobo, Crispica Rebello, Samiksha Khanolkar, Shriya Gaunekar, Valanka Dsouza), the Principal, faculty members, and students of Carmel College, by Dr. Aduja Naik, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Food Technology. The programme began with a prayer led by Ms. Inoska Mendes, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Food Technology, invoking blessings for the fruitful collaboration.
The gathering was addressed by Dr. Aldina Braganza, Principal, Carmel College, who highlighted the significance of the partnership in fostering academic growth and industry exposure. This was followed by an address from Mr. Srikant Naik, General Manager, Envirocare Labs Pvt. Ltd., who emphasised the benefits of collaborative initiatives in the field of food technology and quality assurance. He also praised the ex-students of Carmel College who are currently working at Envirocare Labs Pvt. Ltd. Following this, Dr. Aduja Naik elaborated on the scope of the MoU, highlighting the key areas of collaboration and the benefits it would bring to both parties in terms of academic advancement, training, and industry exposure.
The formal signing of the MoU was carried out by Dr. Aldina Braganza, Principal of Carmel College, and Mr. Srikant Naik, General Manager of Envirocare Labs Pvt. Ltd. The witnesses, Ms. Nezlyn D’Souza, Assistant Professor and In-Charge of the PG Department of Food Technology, Carmel College, and Ms. Ruperi Farjand, Quality Incharge, Envirocare Labs Pvt. Ltd. also signed the document.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Maria Cordeiro, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Food Technology, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty, staff, and students for their presence and participation. The MoU marks a significant step towards strengthening academia–industry collaboration, providing students with valuable opportunities for training, internships, and research.
