To implement the directive of the Directorate of Social Welfare, Panaji–Goa regarding the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
To create awareness among students about the ill effects of substance abuse and the need for a drug-free society.
To instil in students a sense of responsibility towards promoting a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle.
To encourage student participation in the national movement towards a drug-free India.
- Brief Description of the Activity:
In compliance with the letter received from the Directorate of Social Welfare, Panaji–Goa (dated 06/08/2025), Carmel College for Women organised a Mass Pledge Activity under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan on 13th August 2025.
Faculty members and student representatives visited each classroom individually to administer the pledge. This classroom-based mode ensured that all students across various programmes were included in the activity. Students actively participated by reciting the pledge with seriousness and sincerity, thus reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility and social values. - Outcome of the Activity:
The pledge reached all students of the institution through the classroom-based approach.
Students understood the significance of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and committed themselves to the cause.
The activity promoted awareness on the dangers of substance abuse and strengthened the resolve for a healthier and responsible youth community.
