The Department of Psychology, in collaboration with Abhivyakti, the cultural club of the Department of Konkani, participated in a street play competition organized by Anyay Rahit Zindagi (ARZ) on the theme “Strengthening Communities, Preventing Trafficking” held on 30th July 2025, at the Multipurpose Hall, Sanskruti Bhavan, Panjim. The students were accompanied by Ms. Faye Pinto and Ms. Priyanka Rodrigues, from the Department of Psychology, and Mr. Vishwapratap Pawar from the Department of Konkani.

ARZ is a pioneering organization committed to combating human trafficking and promoting the rehabilitation and reintegration of survivors through legal aid, advocacy, and economic empowerment initiatives

Under the guidance of Mr. Vishwapratap Pawar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Konkani, students presented a street play, “Shhhhhh…, Desh Needla,” a compelling performance that highlighted key social issues surrounding trafficking. Their efforts were rewarded with first place in the competition. The panel of judges commended the team for their ability to capture the audience’s attention within the 10-minute time frame and were deeply moved by the intensity and impact of their performance.
