The Postgraduate Department of Psychology at Carmel College of Arts and Science for Women, Nuvem, organized a Self-Care Day on 24th July 2025 with the theme “Cultivating Calm: A Holistic Self-Care Experience.” The event saw the active participation of four faculty members and forty postgraduate students.

The day began with a warm welcome and an insightful session by the Principal, who emphasized the significance of cultivating calm and practicing self-care to maintain overall mental and emotional well-being. Her address set a reflective and motivating tone for the day’s activities.

Following this, the faculty conducted engaging sessions focused on guided imagery, positive affirmations, and gratitude practices. These experiential techniques were introduced as part of a holistic approach to self-care, aiming to enhance students’ mindfulness, self-awareness, and emotional balance.

In the later part of the program, students showcased a creative display of personal self-care items and activities. The display featured journals, artwork, crafts, handmade wellness products, and other thoughtful expressions of self-nurturing routines, all reflecting the theme of cultivating inner calm.

The event provided a meaningful platform for promoting the importance of self-care and encouraging students to embrace holistic practices that support their mental, emotional, and personal growth.
