The Botanical Garden at Selaulim Dam is beautifully maintained by the forest department and serves as an important ecological and recreational area. The garden is known for its diverse plant species, serene ambiance, and well-planned landscape. The botanical garden is spread across a large area and is designed to showcase a variety of plant species including medicinal herbs, flowering plants, and ornamental trees. Some of the plant species observed include Alstonia scholaris, Bombax cieba, Plumeria rubra, Melastoma sp., etc. Paved pathways allow visitors to explore different sections of the garden. Small ponds and fountains add to the beauty of the garden, supporting aquatic plants and attracting birds. Many cacti and succulent plant species were seen growing in the rock garden which was built on a small hillock. Plant species needed for cultivation are propagated and maintained in the plant nursery. The students went around the garden and studied its different features as well as the plant species growing there.

The visit to Selaulim Dam was both informative and enjoyable. The peaceful environment and natural beauty of the location made it a memorable experience.
