A multilingual Open Mic event was held in the IQAC room at 1.30 pm on 11 September 2026. The event was held in collaboration with the Departments of Hindi, Konkani, and English. Students were encouraged to express their views on the subject of ‘The Teacher of Tomorrow.’ Students shared how teachers had shaped them and had how they had helped them form their ideas about the world. Other themes were also spoken about like the increase in violence in society and how friendships fail. Staff members also presented their poems. Students explored various poetic forms like Timpni and Apulipi (Konkani), Shayri (Hindi) and lyric and monologue (English). Dr. Brian Mendonca, Faculty of the Department of English welcomed the gathering and introduced the event. The programmed was compered by Citrarekha Sawant, a faculty member of the Konkani Department, who made the students feel at ease. The event ended with participants feeling the need with more frequent multilingual Open Mic sessions in college.
