As part of the ‘Careres of the Soil’ initiative, the Department of Commerce, Carmel College, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Margao Sunrise, celebrated Vanmahotsava on Friday, the 24th of July 2026 to promote environmental awareness and encourage the importance of tree conservation.
The Van Mahotsava celebration commenced with a prayer seeking blessings and creating awareness about the importance of protecting nature. A tree plantation drive was organised. Management, faculty and students and members of the Rotary Club of Margao Sunrise actively took part in planting saplings in the campus premises. The activity conveyed the message that every individual has a responsibility towards protecting the environment and contributing to a greener and cleaner earth.
