  • Participated as Paper presenter for an International Seminar on the theme “The Culture of Food: Literature and Society” organized by the Dept of Travel and Tourism, M.E.S College of Arts and Commerce, Zuarinagar- Goa on 25-27 Feb 2016. The paper presented was titled “Tracing the Aroma of Food in Konkani Novels in English Translation”
  • Participated in a four-day State-level Seminar cum Workshop Anubashya, jointly organized by Sahitya Akademi- Mumbai, Goa Konkani Akademi and Dept. of  English, Goa University from 21-24 July 2016 and presented a paper titled “ Re-reading Mauzo’s Short Stories: Understanding Equivalence”
  • Participated in a two day State level Shakespeare Festival organized by Dept. of English, Goa University in collaboration with IMB Panjim and ICG, DonaPaula, on 14-15 Oct 2016 at IMB Panjim under the aegis of Goa Matters on the theme Shakespeare in Our Midst: Re-assessing his relevance to our Society and Times and presented a paper titled “A Trans-creative Journey into Bollywood: Shakespeare from Text to Celluloid”
  • Participated as Paper Presenter for an International Seminar on the theme “Indian Cinema and Women” organized by the Departments of Konkani and Hindi in collaboration with SEWA at Shree Mallikarjun College Cancona, Goa on 3-4 Feb 2017. The paper was entitled “The Portrayal of  Woman in Select Award Winning Konkani Films”.
  • Participated as Paper Presenter for National Seminar on the theme “Approaches and Systems: Understanding the Child and Children’s Literature” organized by the PG Department of English, St. Aloysius, Mangaluru on March 3, 2017. The paper was entitled “From Text to Celluloid: A Study of Select Transcreations of Children’s Texts into Films”.
  • Participated in a one day State level Seminar on “Goa Through the Traveller’s Lens” organized by Dept of English, Goa University on 30 March, 2017. The paper was entitled “Goa through the Prism of Contemporary Travel Blogs”. The event was held at Goa University.

  • A research paper entitled “Subaltern Echoes in Select Konkani Short Stories in English Translation” was published in a book “ Goa: Looking Back Looking Forward” edited by Dr. Brijpal Singh Gehlot, Dr. Elizabeth J. Henriques and Deepa Prajith. The book published in 2016, is published by Broadway Publishing House and bears ISBN 978-93-84298-34-0. The paper was also awarded a prize for being one of the best ten in the book.
  • A Research Paper entitled “Ecocriticism in Select Konkani Novels in English Translation” was published in the book entitled Goa Matters in Lore and Letters: Writings of Land, Loss and Longing, edited by Kiran Budkuley. The pub is published in 2017 by Broadway Publishing House and bears ISBN 9789384298609.
  • A research paper entitled “Translation through Transcreation: A Study of Hema Naik’s Bhogdand” was published in Kruti : Vol 2, No 2. The journal is peer-reviewed and bears ISSN 2349-8358.

Paper Presentations: 2017-18

  • Participated as Paper presenter for a two day National Seminar on the theme “Subaltern Reflections in Indian Writing in English and in Translation” organized by Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre Assagao- Bardez-Goa on 28-29 April 2017. The paper was entitled “The Subaltern Speaks: Prakash Parienkar’s Konkani Short Stories in English Translation”.
  • Participated in a five days workshop “Samvadika” organized by Institute Menezes Braganza, Panaji-Goa from 2nd May to 6th May 2017 and prepared a draft article on Mahabaleshwar Sail’s writing entitled “Subversive Subalternity: ‘Ethos’ and ‘Mythos’ in Sail’s Select Ficition in English Translation”
  • Participated in a three days Advanced Workshop titled “Samvadika” organized by Institute Menezes Braganza –Panaji Goa from 12-14June 2017. The final article on Mahabaleshwar Sail’s Writing titled “Subversive Subalternity: ‘Ethos’ and ‘Mythos’ in Sail’s Select Ficition in English Translation” was submitted at the end of this workshop.
  • Was invited as Resource Person for Seminar on “Goan History in Konkani Literature” on 11th July 2017 at Fr. Agnel College of Arts and Commerce, Pilar. Presented a paper titled “History through the Prism of Fiction: A Critical Study of Select Fiction by Mahabaleshwar Sail”
  • Attended a two day National Seminar on “Cultural Turn in Translation Studies” organized by the Department of PG Studies in English in collaboration with Kevempu Bhasha Bharati Pradhikara, Bangalore on 24-25 February 2018, at K.L.E. Society’s Lingaraj College, Belgavi. Was the Chairperson for the students presentation and also presented a paper on the topic “From Source Culture to Target Culture: A Study of Konkani Fiction in English Translation”.
  • Participated in a State level Seminar on the theme Tradition, Continuity and Change: Goan Society in Transition(s), organized by the Dept of English, held on 15 March 2018 at Goa University. Presented a paper on “Festivals of Goa: Blending Tradition with Modernity to foster Continuity.

  • A research paper entitled “From Text to Celluloid: A Study of Select Transcreations of Children’s Texts into Films” was published in The Atlantic Literary Review (Volume 18, No 2, April-June 2017). This Quarterly Journal is peer reviewed and bears ISSN 0972-3269. This is a UGC approved Journal bearing number 46941.
  • A research paper entitled “Subversive Subalternity: Ethos and Mythos in Sail’s Select Fiction” was published in “PROBING PERSPECTIVES:A Critical Study of Mahabaleshwar Sail’s Fiction” edited by Kiran Budkuley. The book released in 2017 at the hands of the Governor of Goa, is published in 2017 and bears ISBN 9788193445600.
  • A research article entitled “Goa Through the Prism of Contemporary Travel Blogs” was published in a book titled GOA Through TheTraveller’s Lens Nina Caldeira. The book bears 978-81-934236-5-3 and is published by Goa 1556 in the year 2018. The book was released at the Seminar on Goa at Goa University on 15 March 2018.

  • Participated as Paper presenter for a one day National Seminar on the theme “Emerging Trends and Issues in Literature” organized by RaosahebGogate College of Commerce and Smt. SaraswatibaiGanshetWalke College of Arts, Banda- Maharashtra on 6th October 2018. The paper was entitled “Ecocritical Echoes in Select Konkani Short Stories in English Translation”.
  • Participated as Paper presenter for a two day National Seminar on the theme “Konkanitli ‘Baki’ Kavita: Aasvaadan, Anusarjan ani Arthavan” organized by the KavivaryaBakibab Borkar Chair and the Department of Konkani on 22-23rd October 2018. The paper, jointly presented with me as first author, was entitled “PaanchPrathinidhikKavincheaVechikKavitentleaPratiniditvachiPrakruti ani PrakrutichePratiniditva” (The Nature of Representation and the Representation of Nature in Five Select Konkani Poets).
  • Glenis Mendonca presented a research paper titled “From Ego-consciousness to Eco-consciousness: Underscoring Eco-friendly initiatives to Counter the ill-effects of Consumerist Culture in Goa on 22-23 Feb 2019 at a two day National Seminar organized by the Dept. of Commerce, Govt. College, Borda.
  • Was invited as a paper presenter for a National Seminar on Mahabaleswar Sail and his Writings, organized by Chowgule College- Matrgao on 27 February 2019. Presented a paer on Mahabaleshwar Sail’s Konkani Fiction in English Translation.
  • Presented a paper titled “The Real and the Reel: Exploring Gandhi through Select Films ” on 26 March 2019, at a State level Seminar organized by Dept of English at Goa University. The theme if the Seminar was “The Multi-faceted Gandhi: Revisiting Gandhi on his Sesquicentennial Birth Anniversary “.
