 Objectives of the Activity:

  1. To introduce participants to the concept and practice of mindful eating as a tool for self-care.
  2. To encourage healthier lifestyle practices among health care professionals.

Activity Overview:

On 27 November 2025, students of the Postgraduate Department of Psychology organized a self-care session for the staff of Serena Palliative Care on the topic of Mindful Eating, as part of its ongoing mental health and well-being initiative. The session aimed to create awareness about the importance of mindful eating in maintaining physical and mental well-being, especially in demanding health care environments.

The students guided the participants through interactive discussions and experiential mindful eating practices. The session emphasized the importance of being present, observing thoughts without judgment, and cultivating self-compassion in daily life.

The session on mindful eating was successful in creating awareness among health care professionals about the importance of conscious and healthy eating habits. It emphasized the role of mindfulness in managing stress and improving overall health.
