Objectives of the Activity:
- To help students understand the transition challenges from student life to professional life.
- To motivate students to plan their career paths effectively through real-life alumni experiences.
Activity Overview:
The Post Graduate Department of Psychology, Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce for Women, Nuvem–Goa, successfully organized Career Compass 2025 on 17th December 2025 at 10:00 a.m. onwards in PG CR 2. The program aimed at providing structured career guidance and facilitating meaningful interaction between students and professionals in the field of psychology.
A key highlight of the activity was the participation of alumni resource persons, which strengthened the connection between current students and former graduates of the institution. The resource persons for the program included Ms. Arantxa Gracias Flor, College Counselor; Ms. Talha Sadekar, Counseling Psychologist (Alumna of the Department); Ms. Swizel Pereira, Clinical Psychologist; and Col. Pracheer Nayar, Psychologist and Army Officer. The speakers shared their academic journeys, professional experiences, and practical insights into various career paths in psychology.
The interactive nature of the session encouraged student participation and provided a realistic understanding of career opportunities, challenges, and growth prospects within the discipline.the session also helped bridge academic learning with professional practice through expert interaction with a focus to strengthen alumni–student engagement and mentorship.
