Activity Overview:
The Department of Economics conducted its Research Discussion Forum on 6th January 2026. The forum was organized with the objective of guiding students on their current project topics and reviewing the progress of work undertaken so far.
Dr. Rivya Dias delivered a presentation outlining the newly revised project guidelines. The presentation covered the purpose and significance of the project work, the marks distribution, timelines, and general guidelines to be followed. Emphasis was laid on adherence to deadlines, as the project process is now strictly time-bound. Following the presentation, students raised several queries, all of which were addressed and clarified by the department faculty during the session.
Later, student representative from each project group presented a brief update on the progress of their respective projects. This highlighted the topics chosen, preliminary work completed, and the plan ahead. The faculty members of the Department of Economics provided valuable suggestions, constructive feedback, and inputs to help refine the scope and direction of the projects. The forum proved to be an effective platform for academic interaction, ensuring clarity, preparedness, and timely progress in project work.
