Objectives of the Activity:

  1. To introduce participants to the concept and practice of mindfulness as a tool for self-care.
  2. To promote emotional regulation, focus, and overall psychological well-being through guided mindfulness practices.

Activity Overview:

On 23 October 2025, 3 students of the Postgraduate Department of Psychology organized a self-care session for the staff of Serena Palliative Care on the topic of mindful meditation, as part of its ongoing mental health and well-being initiative. The session aimed to introduce participants to mindfulness as a practical tool for enhancing self-care and emotional balance.

The students guided the participants through interactive discussions and experiential mindfulness practices, including mindful breathing and body awareness exercises. The session emphasized the importance of being present, observing thoughts without judgment, and cultivating self-compassion in daily life.

Participants actively participated in the activities, sharing their reflections and experiences of practicing mindfulness. The session helped them recognize how mindful awareness can improve focus, reduce stress, and promote overall psychological well-being.

Outcomes of the Activity:

1.Participants understood the principles and benefits of mindfulness in everyday life.
