Objectives of the Activity:
- To equip participants with practical strategies for identifying and supporting children with special needs.
Activity Overview:
A One-Day State Level Workshop titled “Nurturing Potential: Empowering Children with Special Needs” was organized by the Department of Psychology of Rosary College of Commerce & Arts in association with the Diocesan Family Service Centre on 5th February 2026. The workshop aimed at creating awareness, building sensitivity, and equipping participants with practical knowledge to support children with special needs in educational and social settings.The programme brought together students, educators, counselors, and social work professionals to discuss inclusive practices and effective intervention strategies.
13 students of the postgraduate department of psychology participated in the workshop. Overall, the programme proved to be academically enriching and professionally valuable for the students of the Department of Psychology, Carmel College, Goa.
Outcomes of the Activity:
- Students successfully enhanced their awareness and learnt practical tools to support children with special needs.
