The Kalavishkar Club of the Department of Hindi, Carmel College, Nuvem, organized a successful One Day State-Level Workshop on Story Writing on February 13, 2026. The event saw participation from five colleges across Goa, offering students intensive hands-on training in narrative crafting.
The workshop opened with a welcome address by IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Michelle Fernandes, who motivated the students to embrace creative writing as a vital skill.
Resource person Mr. Gulam Ansari, a prominent young Hindi writer and poet from Goa, shared his inspiring literary journey. He told the students, “If you want to be a writer, you must first be honest and true to yourself,” highlighting authenticity as the foundation of storytelling.
The workshop, held under the guidance of Officiating Principal Dr. Aldina Braganza and HOD Dr. Lata Shirodkar, was led by Faculty Coordinator Deepali Sutar, along with Club President Anisha Sharma and Vice-President Asha Chawan. The session concluded with participants drafting original stories, marking a significant step in nurturing regional literary talent.
