The Department of Psychology, Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce for Women, Nuvem–Goa, organized a guest lecture on “Building a Career in Corporate Psychology: Ethics and Professional Boundaries” on 16th February 2026 at the College Auditorium.The session was conducted by Dr. Mavis Henriques, Senior Adult Corporate Psychologist at Trijog, Corporate Trainer and Consultant, and Assistant Professor at Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao, Goa.

Dr. Henriques provided students with valuable insights into the scope and emerging opportunities in the field of corporate psychology. She explained the various pathways through which psychology students can enter the corporate sector and highlighted the competencies and professional skills required to build a successful career in this domain.

The resource person also discussed the challenges faced by corporate psychologists, including managing workplace expectations, handling sensitive employee concerns, and maintaining professional effectiveness in organizational settings. Special emphasis was laid on the importance of ethical practices and maintaining professional boundaries while working with employees and organizations.

To enhance student engagement, Dr. Henriques presented case studies and real-life scenarios, encouraging participants to analyze situations critically and apply ethical decision-making skills. The interactive nature of the session enabled students to actively participate and reflect on practical aspects of the profession.

The session was attended by undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department of Psychology and was well-received. The talk proved to be informative, engaging, and highly relevant for students aspiring to pursue careers in corporate psychology.
