The Department of Psychology, Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce for Women, Nuvem–Goa, organized a Christmas Pop-Up Sale on 22 December 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. under the College Administrative Block, in collaboration with ARZ – WISH Vasco (Women Initiative for Self-Help). This activity was conducted as part of the ongoing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Department of Psychology and ARZ, aimed at fostering community engagement and women empowerment.

The pop-up sale showcased a variety of handmade and locally produced items prepared by women associated with WISH-Vasco. The event provided a platform for these women to display, market, and sell their products, thereby encouraging self-reliance and entrepreneurship. Students and staff enthusiastically participated by visiting the stalls, interacting with the women entrepreneurs, and purchasing products, thus extending their support to the initiative.

The activity created a festive atmosphere on campus while reinforcing values of social responsibility, empathy, and community partnership among students. The collaboration successfully translated the objectives of the MOU into meaningful action through hands-on engagement and outreach.

 Outcomes of the Activity:

  • Enhanced awareness among students and staff about women empowerment and self-help initiatives.
  • Strengthened institutional collaboration with ARZ through effective implementation of MOU-based activities.
  • Provided economic and moral support to women entrepreneurs associated with WISH–Vasco.
