Activity Overview

The organisation – Goa – Centre for Excellence in Intellectual Property (G-CEIP) – organised the 10th Annual International Conference on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in collaboration with Goa College of Pharmacy (GCP) on 4th & 5th November 2025. Three students of the PG Department of Food Technology (PGFT) presented posters on Day 2 of the conference. The students include Ms Naomi Moraes and Ms Nupur Nargundkar (MSc part II), along with ex-student Ms Shriya Gaunekar, who were guided by the faculty members Dr Maria Cordeiro and Ms Nezlyn Cressida D’Souza.

The students presented the two research topics titled ‘Valorising Cashew Apple Pomace in a Ragi-based Probiotic Dessert with High Calcium for Dietary Nutrient Gap Mitigation’ and ‘Bioprospecting Coastal Goa: Development of Pyocyanin-Enabled Intelligent Film as a Sustainable Solution for Food Safety and Packaging Waste Mitigation’.  The department intends to motivate the students to attend more of such events, taking into consideration the academic needs and research requirements. This will also help promote more research and innovation among the students.
