Activity Overview

The Post Graduate Department of Psychology observed World Ozone Day on 16th September 2025 with the theme “Guardians of Green.” The theme highlighted the role of individuals in protecting the environment and safeguarding the ozone layer, reminding us that simple sustainable choices can make a big difference.

The event featured a range of creative activities. Give and Gain encouraged students and faculty to bring items in good condition but no longer useful to them, and swap them for something they needed, promoting reuse and reducing waste. A short reel was also created to spread awareness about conserving energy in daily life. Additionally, brief sessions were conducted on the harmful effects of fast fashion and the vital connection between the ozone layer and the Earth’s wellbeing.

The celebration concluded with Plant Adopt and Swap, where participants could adopt or exchange plants, symbolizing a collective commitment to greener living. Overall, the event successfully created awareness about ozone protection, sustainable practices, and the importance of becoming true “Guardians of Green.”
