Activity Overview

The HR department of VMSIIHE organised a one-hour ‘Professional Development’ session for all non-teaching staff at 3:30 pm on 3 October 2025 at V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE). Dr. Aldina Braganza e Gomes, the Officiating Principal and Associate Professor of Psychology at Carmel College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Nuvem, delivered the talk to 30 staff members who actively participated in the session. This session, titled ‘Interpersonal Relationships at the Workplace and at Home’, was conducted under the framework of the MoU signed between Carmel College and VMSIIHE.

Dr. Braganza addressed key topics such as building meaningful connections, fostering healthy interpersonal relationships, stress management, and maintaining both physical and mental well-being in different environments. The session was designed to assist staff members in navigating common challenges and to provide practical strategies for managing relationships effectively, both at work and at home.

The staff of VMSIIHE, Ms. Sharada Prabhu commenced the session with an introduction and welcome address, and Ms. Edna Noronha delivered the vote of thanks. The presentation was highly informative, with several staff members raising questions that Dr. Aldina addressed comprehensively. The attendees at the end expressed that the session was both productive and beneficial.
