Title of the Activity Anti Ragging Awareness

The Equal opportunity cell conducted an awareness session for the First year students of all streams on Anti Ragging as mandated by the University Grants Commission. The one hour session was held on 17th September 2025, from 9.15 to 10.15 am. The session commenced with a briefing by the committee members on Anti Ragging and the various laws and punishments for the offences related to anti ragging behaviours. A short documentary was screened depicting ragging, the punishment for engaging in ragging behaviours for the offender and the procedure for reporting the matter to the anti-ragging monitoring committee. Two short clips on the role of the parents and punishment for the offenders were also screened.

The students were also given a google form to test their awareness on anti-ragging behaviours and laws at the end of the session.
