The NSS Unit of Carmel College celebrated the 10th Ayurveda Day on 23rd September 2025, in line with the call given by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, which has been spearheading Ayurveda Day celebrations across the country. The Ministry had announced this year’s theme as “Ayurveda for People and Planet” and suggested a range of awareness activities to highlight Ayurveda’s contribution to individual well-being and ecological balance.
To mark the occasion, the NSS Unit organized a poster display on the benefits of Ayurveda. The posters highlighted the holistic nature of Ayurveda in promoting preventive healthcare, lifestyle management, and harmony with the environment. The creative and informative exhibits attracted the attention of students and faculty, generating meaningful discussions on the relevance of Ayurveda in contemporary times.
In addition, a selfie booth was set up around the theme “Ayurveda for People and Planet.” The booth became a lively and engaging space where students and staff participated enthusiastically, capturing moments that reinforced the message of sustainable living through Ayurveda.
The celebration not only spread awareness about India’s rich traditional medical heritage but also aligned with the Ministry of Ayush’s vision of promoting Ayurveda as a science that benefits both people and the planet.
