The Training, Internship and Placement Cell of Carmel College organised a guest talk on “Careers in the Hospitality Industry” on 16th August 2025. The session was conducted by the Principal of the academy, Mr. Renvick Pereira, accompanied by his team from the Gesto Culinary and Hospitality Academy.

Drawing upon his extensive industry experience and academic expertise, Mr. Pereira provided valuable insights into the diverse avenues within the hospitality sector. He elaborated on the functioning of key departments such as Front Office, Food and Beverage, and Bakery, while also highlighting the skills required to excel in each domain. A virtual tour of the academy was presented, offering students a glimpse of its state-of-the-art infrastructure and training methodologies. Furthermore, Mr. Pereira was further willing to provide a hands-on experience to the interested students at the academy.

The talk was highly engaging and was well received by both faculty and students, who appreciated the practical perspectives shared on career opportunities in the hospitality industry.
