To strengthen industry–institute collaboration and promote professional exposure for students, Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce for Women, Nuvem hosted a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony with the Business Network International (BNI), Goa Chapter on 07/08/2025 in the College Auditorium.
The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to the visiting BNI delegates by the Principal of the college in her office, in the gracious presence of Sr. Ishapriya A.C. (Manager) and Sr. Doris A.C.
Following the formal reception, the guests were taken on a guided campus tour led by Ms. Sajani D’Costa (Associate Professor, Commerce) and Mr. Mrunal Parsekar (Assistant Professor, Mathematics). During the tour, the delegates were shown key sections of the college and had the opportunity to interact with faculty members, particularly from the Food Technology and other departments at the Postgraduate Block. They also visited the Incubation Center, which, although in its early developmental stage, received positive feedback and appreciation from the guests.
In the auditorium, Dr. Manjunath T. Nayak, on behalf of the Training, Internship & Placement (TIP) Cell and as the College Internship Nodal Officer, delivered a brief introduction of the visiting BNI members to the audience. This was followed by an address by Mr. Rajkumar Kamat, Managing Director of BNI, who provided an insightful overview of BNI’s mission, values, and ongoing activities. He, along with other BNI delegates, engaged in an interactive session with the faculty members.

The formal MoU signing ceremony was then conducted between Mr. Rajkumar Kamat and the Principal of Carmel College, marking the beginning of a promising collaboration aimed at providing students with enhanced internship opportunities, industrial exposure, and entrepreneurship support.
The ceremony concluded with a group photograph featuring the BNI members, the Principal, Sr. Ishapriya A.C., Sr. Doris A.C., and senior faculty representatives from various streams. The event’s photography was efficiently handled by Mr. Meetal Raikar (Assistant Professor, Mathematics) and Ms. Blissa Dias, a student of FYBA.
