Department of Konkani organised a Guest lecture on 22nd April 2022 by eminent Konkani Writer and folk researcher Mr.Dilip Dhalgalkar. The topic of the Guest lecture was Fugdi Songs. 35 students of semester IV Konkani GE and Sem V attended the lecture. Mr. Dargalkar explained the various socio-cultural, historical, spiritual aspects of Fugdi songs and threw light on how Fugdi songs have contributed in creating an awareness about environment protection. He emphasised the need to preserve Fugdi songs by the youth through proper documentation.
