The department of Economics organised a study trip to the Central Customs and Excise Museum, Panaji on 8th February 2016. The students had a glimpse of the evolution of the Indian Customs and Central Excise, the first of its kind in India, from ancient times, its modernization and relevance today for revenue generation, protection, culture and natural heritage, protecting the county from illicit trade, including narcotics and other substances. The trip was attended by the SYBA Economics allied and TY BA economics students accompanied by the faculty members of the Department.
