On the occasion of Peace Day, held on the 30th of January 2018, the Department of History organized a programme to honour the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi who lost his life working selflessly for the nation. The event commenced with the Chief Guest Rev Dr. Maria Aradhana A.C., staff and students offering floral tributes to Bapuji. The event was largely attended by the Second Year and Third Year students. The bhajan Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram led everyone into a deep state of consciousness. Further Ms. Elaine Furtado, Cultural Secretary, shared a few thoughts on Gandhiji, mentioning the Mahatma’s faith in truth and his vision of a peaceful Indian society. Mr. Agnelo Dias, Assistant Professor proposed the vote of Thanks and the event ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
