An educational visit was conducted to the Nestle Factory situated in Ponda, Goa on the 24th of March, 2017, for the students of the TYBA and SYBA (Allied: Psychology), along with lecturers Dr. Michelle Fernandes, Ms. Lynette D’Silva Fortes and Ms. Faye Pinto. Prithvi Kawlekar, Corporate Affairs coordinated the visit and granted us the permission.
The lecturers and students were divided into two batches, and were made to wear the safety gear before moving into the factory. The Production Manager, Mr. Gaude accompanied the students; engaging the group with the production process and packaging of each product. Mr. Gaude explained where the ingredients are supplied from, the quantities of each ingredients needed for daily production and which ingredients made which chocolate. Then he escorted us to every division of the production, explaining each and every process in detail. Chocolate tasting at every production division was given. The tour lasted for two hours each batch.
Ms. Gayle Noronha gave the Vote of Thanks. Each student and faculty was given a slab of chocolate as a parting token.
