Ms. Jennifer Miranda, addressed students of FY and SY BCom on the entrepreneurship opportunities available to women in Goa. She initially listed the various types of businesses that can be taken up by women and how they suit the local business environment of Goa. She not only briefed about the training that is available to skill the entrepreneur in starting the business but also discussed the various finance options available. She highlighted the special financial schemes made available by the Government of Goa to women entrepreneurs.
Later she showed video clips of different businesses like making of incense sticks, mango juice, potato chips, chappatis etc. Processes involved along with motorized and non-motorised machinery required for the same.
The talk was attended by 86 students and two teachers.
