The Department of Political Science organized a field trip to the Sattari taluka on 9th March 2017. The main objective of the field trip was to sensitize the students on the concept of sustainable development. Two teachers and 40 students participated in the trip. Noted environmentalist Rajendra Kerkar was the main resource person. Mr. Kerkar shared his valuable knowledge on the rich flora and fauna in Goa which is known for its medicinal use. He also enlightened the students on the Mahadhei River water dispute between Karnataka and Goa and its possible repercussions on the ecology of Goa if the dam is built by Karnataka. The main places visited by the students were River Valvanti, Anjinim irrigation project and River Kusdoo.
