FELICITATING LUMINARIES

If Science, History, Mathematics and Literature are still alive, it is because of the existence of teachers in society. Teachers have made us who we are and have continued to mould the minds and hearts of the children. Rotary club of Margao Midtown felicitated nine luminaries to mark the occasion of Teachers’ Day on Sept.10th. Teachers, both past and present with decades of teaching experience and extraordinary achievements were felicitated by the Fatorda MLA Vijay Sardesai the chief guest for the meeting. The Teachers felicitated were Vijay Gajanan Satpute, Benjamita Diniz, Arlene Cotta, Dr. Allan Abreu, Rene Mesquita, Pushpa Chopade, Varsha Purshottam Naik, Rajeev Desai and Sajani D’Costa. President Dr. Lenny Da Costa welcomed the gathering while secretary Reggie Fernandes proposed a vote of thanks. Event Chair Rakesh Agarwal and Asst. Governor Smita Keni also spoke.

Panjim: Rotary Club of Margao Midtown felicitated nine luminaries to mark the occasion of Teacher’s Day on September 10. President Dr. Lenny da Costa welcomed. The teachers were felicitated by the Fatorda MLA Vijay Sardesai, the Chief Guest, who asked teachers to be vigilant and ensure that the syllabus changes do not damage the fabric of our country. The teachers felicitated were Vijay Gajanan Satput, Benjamita Diniz, Arlene Cotta, Dr. Allan Abreo, Rene Mesquita, Pushpa Chopade, Varsha Purshottam Naik, Rajeev Desai and Sajani D’Costa.
